Answer Update Logic

In this article, we will outline if and when a customer's answer will be updated.

zenloop has individual rules for updating answers for our different channel.

These rules are based on the customer's identity (e.g. email address or order number) and survey.

Email Embed

  • 24 hours

If a customer (with unique identity) responds a second time to the same survey within 24 hours, the initial answer is overwritten. After 24 hours, a new answer is created.

Link Survey

  • 24 hours

If a customer (with unique identity) responds a second time to the same survey within 24 hours, the initial answer is overwritten. After 24 hours, a new answer is created.

Website Embed and Overlay

  • 10 minutes

If a customer (with unique identity) responds a second time to the same survey within 10 mins, the initial answer is overwritten. After 10 mins, a new answer is created.

You can also use Website Overlay's Throttling settings to ensure the customer is only shown the survey once every x number of days.

Please note: Properties will not be updated with the new answer.
