Overview
The zenSurveys overview can show trend values alongside a survey's response count and survey score.
These values provide a quick indication of how the result has changed compared with an earlier period.
Trend indicators are calculated automatically.
There is currently no separate trend-period selector in the surveys overview.
View Trend Indicators
- Open zenSurveys.
- Select the date range for the survey overview.
- Review the survey cards.
When a trend value is available, it can appear next to:
- The number of responses.
- The NPS, CSAT, or CES score.
- The corresponding values for a survey group.
The selected date range controls the data displayed in the overview.
When a Trend Indicator Is Not Shown
A trend indicator appears only when zenSurveys returns a comparison value.
The indicator may be missing when:
- There is not enough data for a comparison.
- The survey has no responses in one of the relevant periods.
- A custom date range is selected.
- No trend value is available for the survey or survey group.
A missing trend indicator does not mean that the survey score or response count is zero.
It means that no comparison value is available for that view.
Custom Date Ranges
Trend indicators may not be calculated for custom date ranges.
The survey score and response count can still appear without an accompanying trend value.
Choose one of the standard date-range options to check whether a trend value is available.
Limitations
- Users cannot select a separate day, week, month, quarter, or year trend baseline.
- Trend indicators provide overview context and do not replace a detailed report.
- Trend availability depends on the selected date range and the available comparison data.
