Filter Workflows by Topic

Overview

zenSurveys workflows can be filtered by feedback topic. This helps teams route follow-up actions to the right channel when a response contains selected topics, such as service quality, delivery, or product feedback.

How It Works

  1. Open Workflows in zenSurveys.
  2. Create or edit a workflow.
  3. In the trigger settings, select a survey.
  4. Use Filter by Topic to choose one or more topics from that survey's dictionary.
  5. Finish configuring the workflow channel and save the workflow.

When a response is processed, zenSurveys checks whether the detected topics match the workflow's selected topics. If any selected topic is present, the topic filter matches.

Topic filters can be combined with question filters and property filters. The workflow only matches when all configured filter types match. Within the topic filter itself, any matching selected topic is enough.

Configuration

The feature is configured inside the workflow form. The topic selector appears after the survey is selected because available topics depend on the selected survey and dictionary.

Changing the selected survey clears existing question, property, and topic filters so stale filters from another survey are not reused.

Topic-filtered workflows are processed after topic analysis is available. Workflows without a topic filter can still process immediately.
