Do contractions have to be entered separately?

Yes, they both have to be entered. Contractions are exceptions other grammatical forms are detected (see above).

Can a keyword be used more than once?

The same keyword cannot exist in 2 Topics of the same language.

Do synonyms have to be added as separate keywords?

Do I need to enter a more complex form of a keyword?

No, the negated and more complex form is already covered by the less complex form.

Do American English (AE) and British English (BE) words have to be added as separate keywords?

How many words can a keyword exist of?

A keyword can consist of unlimited words. This functionality is called “multi-word keyword”.

💡Tip: Don’t enter full sentences. Rather, try to use as few words as possible and as many words as necessary.

Are multi-word keywords recognized even if a full stop divides the separate keywords in the comment?

Within multi-word keywords, are connecting words ignored?

Stopwords are ignored. For this example, it’s enough to add “fish chips” for both to be recognised.
